COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout at Heathwood Assisted Living & Memory Care | Williamsville & Penfield, NY

Jan 26, 2021

This is how we keep it healthy

It is hard to believe it has been ten months since COVID-19 became a daily household topic of conversation in our area. In the months since we began this journey, much has been accomplished in the way of safeguarding our residents, staff, and extended Heathwood Assisted Living & Memory Care family members from the ongoing pandemic.

The much-awaited COVID-19 vaccination rollout is underway at Heathwood Assisted Living & Memory Care! The first Pfizer shot was given to residents and staff who opted in at both our Williamsville and Penfield locations. So far, 95% of residents and almost 60% of staff choose to receive the vaccine. With more clinic dates coming up, we look forward to seeing these numbers increase as we all do our part to combat the virus.

Our Williamsville location vaccine clinic dates include:

January 15

February 5

February 26

Our Penfield location clinic dates are:

January 21

February 11

March 5

Residents and staff had much to say about why they are receiving the vaccine—you can see the many reasons on our Facebook page. To share a few:

“Because I want to protect myself and others.”

“Because I want to help end Covid.”

“Because it makes sense!”

While we may not be able to see their smiles behind the masks in the photos, we know they are smiling! As we watched the pandemic change the world around us this past year, our independent senior living community banded together even more, lifting each other’s spirits in times of uncertainty—happy to share time, tasty treats, and a song or two (or ten) amongst caring friends!

We remain committed to helping residents feel confident that they are receiving quality care to make the best of their retirement years . Our extended family members have the peace of mind that their loved one is being treated with the utmost care.
