"When we moved my mother from Texas to Heathwood in Williamsville, NY, I was more than nervous, hoping my mother would be able to settle and adjust to such a change that this point in her life. Fortunately, seven months later, I can say her experience with the staff at Heathwood has been amazing! They were helpful and kind every step of the way from the move itself, to more long-term adjusting, to making sure the care provided met her 'where she was at' even as her needs changed. Dementia is difficult for the person experiencing it and the associated caretakers. For all the staff at Heathwood - from the laundry and cleaning staff to those that administer the medication to the nurses and case manager - I witnessed many occasions of going above and beyond to meet my mother's needs. While finding the right assisted living facility isn't a 'one size fits all' - some issues are personal preference or more personality-driven - I can say across the board, the staff at Heathwood are some of the best around! They are a great fit for anyone!"

"If you are reading this review then you are beginning a very difficult journey. One that I can appreciate. About six months ago my sisters and I began the same journey. It is one of the hardest things you can do as an adult, making the decision to relocate a parent to an assisted living facility.

When we started this process with Heathwood, we were treated with respect and empathy. We had a million questions, a million emotions, and enormous decisions. Everyone at Heathwood from the initial sales associate, the accounting team, the front desk, nurses …everyone respectively and kindly assisted in the collaboration of relocating my parents. Every day we were greeted with a smile. A hug. Kind words, and unending support. I can not thank them enough for helping with this transition.

My parents have been living there for about a month now. They have adjusted so well. Every day my dad raves about the food, activities, and assistance they have been given. They are being so well taken care of, and they are so happy! I am truly thankful for everyone at Heathwood that has touched my parents lives and made it better. The absolute best decision we could have made for my mom and dad, and as one of the last things you can do for your parents, that is all that matters."

"Always clean, many activities for residents, food consistently amazing with many options. Staff especially “Rhonda”, always willing to assist with anything presented to her, extremely helpful from entry paperwork to growing in basement to assist with my mom’s tv! Everyone helpful, supportive resulting in extremely smooth transition for my mom as well as our family. Residents are welcoming, engage with each other. Mom has improved both in mind and body (walking). On not so good days, someone is always there to help! The peace of mind Heathwood to our family,,,,, priceless!"
